Service Description:

Idaho Fish and Game has not detected Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in Idaho. CWD is a contagious and always-fatal neurological disease that affects deer, elk, and moose.This map layer shows the number of samples tested for CWD in each Game Management Unit. Montana, Utah and Wyoming have confirmed cases of CWD in animals close to the Idaho border. There is no cure for this fatal disease and CWD could impact Idaho’s elk, deer and moose populations.The threat of CWD is a serious concern and Fish and Game is taking all practical steps to minimize the risk.
