Many ranges were developed by IDFG using similar methodology as those developed for the NW ReGAP effort. Species ranges are general depictions of where a species may occur during its lifetime. These are often confused with species 'distribution models' which are places inside the range representing potential habitat. Ranges were created using the best available data and can estimate potential occurence. To utilize these data, the user will need to apply a definition query within ArcGIS to visualize individual species ranges.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
